The new AutoBatch V3 platform offers increased performance and flexibility with the reliability and ease-of-use customers have come to expect from KSi Automation systems.

Major improvements of the new platform include:

Hardware:

• 12″ Color touch screen.
• Fast Ethernet Network switch included and installed.
• New CPU processor for faster program response times.
• Most CPU memory in the industry for larger programs and future growth.
• 7 different communication ports on the CPU for maximum communication flexibility.
• USB port for easy no tech software updates that can be performed by the operator.

Software:

• Includes all previous AutoBatch V2 features and options.
• Updated 12″ screen layout.
• New system status overview screen.
• Provides for the option of complete bulk site control.
• New options will become available starting with a 5″ handheld wireless controller. Providing touch screen access and control remotely.

The existing AutoBatch V2 controller design will continue to be available and KSi Automation will continue supporting existing sites with this platform.  It will also be possible to convert an existing AutoBatch V2 controller to the new AutoBatch V3 platform, while still using most of the existing components.

On June 9, 2009 KSi Conveyors received US Patent #7,544,031 for “Grain Bin Having Power Sweep Driven By Belt Conveyor Through Clutch System.”

The conveyor installs under the drying floor of a bin to unload the bin from the center. The power sweep is used to complete the bin unloading once it self empties to a point exposing the sweep. The auger style sweep is then engaged from outside the bin, via a clutch mechanism and is driven by the same belt that unloads the grain from the bin. The sweep drives itself into the grain pile to self feed itself and auger grain to the center dump of the bin where the grain belt move it under the floor and outside the bin.

The time to install a system like this is when you are having your bins installed. Other similar units require a separate unit with an electric motor be placed in the bin when ready to unload the grain that cannot flow out itself. KSi’s patented Grain Bin Power Sweep is self driven and does not require separate units.
