Bulk Seed
The goal of a bulk seed site is to allow a seed site to be able to treat seed on-site and as needed. This needs to be done as quickly as possible while still maintaining the integrity of the seed and providing the operator the safety that is desired. Following is the process of transporting seed from the bulk bin - through the treater - into the customers truck or seed tender.
KSi's Bulk Seed System automatically transfers seed from: Bins to Scale fill conveyor to Scale hopper to Seed treater to Load out conveyor to seed delivery at point of pickup
1) Discharge Seed from Bins
Desired Seed is discharged from appropriate bin and conveyed via the underbin conveyor and scale fill conveyor into the scale. Once the desired weight is reached in the scale hopper the gate is closed on the bin and conveyors emptied. KSi Automation insures that this process is safe, accurate and efficient.
2) Seed is Treated
Seed is discharged from the scale hopper into the treater. This is either done with the scale hopper being stacked on top of the treater or, if the hopper is on the ground, the seed is conveyed into the treater. The treater applies desired chemical as product flows through system.
3) Seed is Discharged
Seed flows out of the treater and is conveyed into the customers truck or seed tender. KSi Automation insures that this step is done safely by interlocking all the conveyors in the system. If the discharge conveyor is shutdown, the scale gate is shut and the treater fill conveyor and any other necessary conveyor is also shutdown
