Congratulations to KSi Engineer Tom Fehr as one of the 2013 ASABE AE50 award winners for the new KSi 2114 High-Capacity Conveyor with Drive-Over Swingaway. Tom accepted the award at the AETC conference preceding the AG CONNECT show in Kansas City.

The American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE) AE50 award recognizes the year’s most innovative designs in engineering products or systems for the food and agriculture industries. The 2114 High-Capacity Conveyor with Drive-Over Swingaway will be featured in the January/February 2013 special AE50 issue of ASABE’s magazine Resource: Engineering & Technology for a Sustainable World.

KSi’s Multiflow Hopper is the newest in low-profile continuous flow technology for your bulk seed treatment site. Your treater won’t be waiting on seed with KSi’s sequential multi-hopper system. Our dual scale system allows for filling one hopper while the treater is treating from the second hopper.

Each hopper holds up to 140 units, which means if you have a smaller order you can queue orders making sure your customers get their seeds fast. KSi Employees: Taking Advantage of Humanitarian Aid Time – Tanzania

One of the advantages of working for KSi Conveyors is the Humanitarian Aid Time. Employees get the opportunity to share their time to do good work around the world. We’re fortunate to have a few photos from a recent trip that our of our Kansas employees took to Tanzania.

Mathew Kaeb (HR) and his wife Kaitlyn visited Tanzania, Africa to use their Humanitarian Aid days. While there, they worked with sand dam projects that helped the local Tanzanians have a greater access to water year-round. They also visited adults and children with AIDS and cancer and got to participate in an at-risk children’s outreach program. Mathew and Kaitlyn also enjoyed worshipping with the local church in Dodoma, Tanzania.

The second video continues with a personal look at the tragedy of grain bin entrapments. The third video in the series looks at the role of first responders when trouble happens. The fourth video in the series wraps up the safety message.

KSi Employees: Taking Advantage of Humanitarian Aid Time–Haiti II

In 2011 we had a second group travel to Haiti. Dominic Meyer (Automation), Rick Aberle (Treater Specialist), Kara Strahm (Reception) and her husband Todd, and Jordan Rokey (Production) worked at a new school building. They put a roof on and built 60 benches.

Todd and Kara even got take a special stop to meet their sponsored child.

Ronnie Edelman (Production) and Eric Rokey (Production) took the opportunity to visit Haiti with a team from their local church. While there, Ronnie and Eric helped in the construction of homes in an area affected by the 2010 earthquake.
